Family Trees…with a twist
An example of a large, hand drawn, bespoke family tree (A2 size) packed full to the brim with over 100 personal references.
Where you see gaps were family names and dates (removed for data protection purposes) and they are all linked by the branches of a sturdy, art deco inspired oak.
For your bespoke tree, you can choose the style and type of tree. You can be really specific or I can help guide you from the initial stages of the idea and together we can create a design that is as personal as it can possibly be. We’ll have an initial consultation and share information and pictures for me to work from. I’d then keep you in the loop with how the work is coming along every step of the way to ensure you are happy.
Family Memory Trees can become something of an heirloom and can be passed on through the generations.
Bespoke Maps
Here be an example of my hand drawn, Tolkien inspired personalised maps.
Complete with tea stained paper, gold leaf rings and sepia pen, this map was commissioned as a unique wedding gift for some ‘Lord of the Rings’ fanatics. Amongst many other things, it includes their wedding venue, places they’ve lived and holidayed and bus routes they’ve taken. Together, we had fun thinking up ways to link all the important people and places in the couple’s lives and merging them with play on words and nods to the films.
If hobbits and gollum aren’t your bag, your map could be in any style you wish.
